Etnobotani Tanaman Capsicum frutescens L. di Desa Magekapa, Kecamatan Maukaro, Kabupaten Ende

Abstract


Capsicum frutescens L merupakan salah satu jenis buah yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh petani Indonesia karena memiliki harga jual yang tinggi dan memiliki beberapa manfaat kesehatan. Masyarakat Kabupaten Ende menggunakan Capsicum frutescens L. sebagai salah satu bumbu dapur. Selain itu, mereka juga memanfaatkan Capsicum frutescens L. sebagai obat bisul, demam, anti parasite, antitussive, dan anti inflamasi. Pengetahuan lokal tersebut belum teruji secara ilmiah karena masyarakat hanya mempercayai pada hasil yang diperoleh. Pengetahuan yang diperoleh hanya diwariskan secara turun temurun pada suatu kelompok masyarakat. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis pengetahuan etnobotani tanaman Capsicum frutescens L di Desa Magekapa, Kecamatan Maukaro, Kabupaten Ende. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat Desa Magekapa, Kecamatan Maukaro memanfaatkan daun cabai sebagai bahan untuk pengobatan bisul dan menurunkan panas.
